breakin out the seams

Literally, sewing up a storm. Have loads of ideas and not enough hours. This week working on a gown from handpainted organza. Granted, the fabric is not vintage, but has history. It apparently came from a ultra fancy hotel design in Vegas or someplace like that. Afterthat found it's way to the flea market, where my dear friend picked it up for a steal. Hence, from her storage to my sewing maching. Oh yeah-she's had it for y e a r s! No chance of this dress being seen anywhere else! So re-claimed from the walls of a hotel. Almost done with it and will showing it in an upcoming show in May in SF.

Just going with this wave, it seems that this is what I am doing now, the opportunity, the ability=Yah's will. I do wonder however, what is the bigger picture, until a friend of mine reminded me, you are doing this because you enjoy it and this is your time.

So in this season I will create, sew, design, show, and hopefully even sell a bit or two. Thankful that Yah has made a way of provision!

Will be creating some interesting items for a steampunk jewelry contest. Love those challenges!

Until next post-keeping my eyes on the sky.

another show

Well surprise to me-another show coming up. Looks like the ol' dress form is going to be busy. Coming up with about 7 new pieces in 3 weeks. No worries, just relax. Just keep going through those open doors...
